Highlights
Drag/drop or paste images into the H5P authoring tool
Working with images in the H5P authoring tool just got easier! Previously, the only option was to upload an image file. This release contains two new features:
- Drag and drop image files from your computer
- Paste an image from your computer’s clipboard
Volume Control in Live engagements tools
All live engagement tools (The Chase, Multipoll, Wordcloud and Emoji cloud) have gotten a volume control for the background music.
Sentence mode in Wordcloud
On the instructor screen, there are now two different modes to choose from:
- Word: Will split all sentences into words, and creates a cloud based on that
- Sentence: Will use the sentence as is, and creates a cloud based on that
New features in The Chase
Added finish page button
The instructor will now be able to finish a page at any time, so that they can decide to move on if someone spends too much time answering questions.
Multimedia Choice can now be added
Multimedia choice can now be added to The Chase.
Communicate that “time spent” affects rank on leaderboard
When users get the same score in the Chase, the player with the least time spent will earn a higher rank than others with the same score. In this release, we have added visualization of this on the result page.
Image choice has become Multimedia choice
Image Choice has now been turned into Multimedia Choice. You may now use this content type to create multimedia tasks with both videos, audio and images as alternatives. Audio tasks could, for instance, be “Which heartbeat sound indicates a healthy heart” or “Which video is not in line with Newton’s third law?”.

Other fixes and improvements
- The Chase page-by-page mode: Fix hiding “end page dialog” once page ends.
- Image hotspots: Improved hotspots containing audio/video for screenreader users.
- Smart Import: Fixed duplicate warning messages.
- When uploading larger media files than allowed, no message was displayed, and the throbber was stuck forever. This is now fixed.
- In some rare cases the score stored in the Drill Down reports is higher than the maximum score. This has now been fixed.
- Memory game: Fix focus lost when all cards are found.
- The Chase:
- Allow viewing all users on leaderboard.
- Scroll to top when entering a game (to make sure the user sees everything).
- Improve keyboard accessibility for podium and result list.
- Fix Drag the words report containing distractors.
- Improvements for smaller devices/screens.
- Multimedia choice: fix truncating buttons on smaller devices.
- Allow “Course Teachers” and Students to use Canvas SpeedGrader.
- Performance improvements.
- Update the LTI Activity Item implementation to official specification.
- Image Hotspots: Fix CSS collision with Find the Hotspot.
