Student authoring will allow students to create content directly from the LMS via LTI. Students may typically do this in discussions or forums where they have access to a rich text editor, allowing them to insert LTI content.
This feature is only available to customers who have secured an enterprise or site license with the student authoring extension.
Students can now create engaging H5P content using our AI-powered Smart Import tool, which makes content generation quick and easy. This will need to be enabled within the Organization Settings.
What student authors can do:
Create content (including folders)
Create content using Smart Import (if enabled)
Edit their own content
Change display options
Add content to their own folders
What student authors can not do:
Change publish settings (these content items should always be "protected")
Add collaborators
Be a collaborator
Share content within organization folders
See the content of an organization folder
Change the "Send score to LMS" setting
See reports for their own content (or any other content)
Content owned by a student should never be sent scores/grades to the LMS
Content owned by a student author should have a special indicator so that admins and super users can easily recognize such content within the content list (including folders).
