OER Hub now available to all users
The H5P OER Hub is now available to everyone and you can enable it across most H5P products and integrations.
With the H5P OER Hub, you can access interactive content created by authors around the world, and you can also share your own content so it can be reused and create value for learners everywhere.
What is the OER Hub?
The OER Hub gives you access to interactive H5P content created by educators around the world. You can reuse ready-made activities in your own courses and share your own content so it can benefit learners everywhere. The OER Hub is a central catalogue of openly shareable H5P content. It allows educators and content creators to discover interactive activities, import them directly into their courses, and share their work so others can adapt and reuse it.
How to enable the OER Hub
The first thing you need to do is to enable the OER Hub for your organization or account. There are two steps you can take.
- Reuse content from the OER Hub: Enable this if you're mainly interested in downloading and reusing interactive content.
- Share your own content on the OER Hub: Enable this if, besides downloading and reusing, you're also interested in sharing your own interactive content.
Below, you can find information on how to enable it for both use cases.
Reuse content from the OER Hub
To access interactive content from the OER Hub, all you need to do is navigate to the Manage Organization section and enable the OER Hub setting at the bottom.
After making this change, you'll be able to download H5Ps from within the editor, inside the "Create from OER Content", which will let you reuse existing content from the Hub. When you reuse content from the OER Hub, the H5P will also automatically attribute the content to the original author.
Share your own content on the OER Hub
If you want to both reuse and share interactive content from the OER Hub, you need to register your organization or account with the OER Hub. Below you can find the instructions on how to register on the OER Hub.
How to register to the OER Hub:
- H5P.com: Register in the Organization details setting under Manage Organization.
- Moodle plugin: Administrators can register via H5P Settings.
Here's how it looks in H5P.com:
After registration, you can use the Share on OER Hub option in the content editor to share your content.
