Highlights
Multilingual support for Smart Import
In this release, we are introducing support for generating content in 56 different languages in addition to English. With this update, you can decide what language you want content generated in! You can, for example, upload a file or link to a page in English and specify that you want the generated H5Ps to be in Spanish.
The new available languages are:
Afrikaans, Arabic, Armenian, Azerbaijani, Belarusian, Bosnian, Bulgarian, Catalan, Chinese, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Estonian, Finnish, French, Galician, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hindi, Hungarian, Icelandic, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Kannada, Kazakh, Korean, Latvian, Lithuanian, Macedonian, Malay, Marathi, Maori, Nepali, Norwegian, Persian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Serbian, Slovak, Slovenian, Spanish, Swahili, Swedish, Tagalog, Tamil, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian, Urdu, Vietnamese, and Welsh.
New features in Game Map
- Authors can set a plain background color instead of having to set a background image.
- Authors can add a new type of special stage (link) that allows students to jump to web pages.
- Authors can style each path separately: color, style and width.
- Authors can now add multiple subcontents to a stage. Handling is like in Column, so the stage score is the combined score for all subcontents, etc.
- Authors can now set detailed access restrictions for each stage based on:
- Total score.
- Score of another stage.
- Progress of another stage.
- Date and time.
- + any combinations of the above.
- Success/failure sounds will now play for xAPI results of all subcontents, not only immediate children (e.g. True/False inside Course Presentation as a stage).
- Authors can optionally make stages have stars on top that signal the achieved score.
- Users can now open settings to control the volume of the background music and the sound effects separately.
- Access restrictions will now also be applied in free roaming mode.
- Updated dependencies to content types to their current versions.

Improvements
- CKEditor: add option to choose whether links are opened in the same window or a new tab. Previously, all links were opened in a new tab.
- Additional improvements implemented to increase performance for end users.
- Add a link to the help article on Responsible AI Principles to the footer of H5P.com.
- The Smart Import service is now hosted in each region
The following bugs have been fixed in this release:
- In some scenarios, students can not open their own drill down reports through LTI.
- Smart Import:
- Not all account settings are respected when content is generated.
- Fixed Smart Import transcribing failing when Vimeo is used as a source.
- Game Map:
- Global timer not working properly.
- Interactive Video with YouTube videos will not play when a stage is reopened.
- Essay:
- In some scenarios, drill-down reports for Essay crash
- Too small line height of text field (accessibility)
- Structure Strip
- Too low focus contrast (accessibility).
- The copy button is displayed even when the web browser doesn’t support writing to the clipboard.
- Interactive Book:
- Too low contrast on the summary submit button (accessibility).
- Focus jumping on page load (making page scroll to Interactive Book when e.g. embedded through LTI).
- Question Set: Add tabs role pattern to question set (accessibility).
- The Chase:
- Missing some Spanish translations.
- Wrong size for some buttons.
- Multipoll and Wordcloud: Game Options menu obscuring focus.
- Not able to clone the content from the Example Content folder for Administrators and Super users.
- In some scenarios, drill-down reports for Complex Fill in the Blanks crash.
- Through Canvas (LTI): Fullscreen breaks when editing an assignment.
- Cloning content after editing a conflict breaks images.
- Filter by content type: only the latest version of each H5P content type is included.
- Bulk deleting users might fail in some scenarios.
- In some scenarios, when navigating to “Manage content”, it shows the trashed content (instead of all content).
Hotfixes since last release
- 2025-03-03: Fixed image upload for users having a non-English language selected.
- 2025-03-12: Fixed drilldown reports showing wrong value for best attempt in some scenarios.
- 2025-03-19: Fixed setting “Expire Date and Time” for Live engagement tools.
