There are three statuses of an H5P:
- Unpublished: Content can't be inserted into LMS.
- Protected: Content can be inserted into LMS.
- Public: Visible to the public using a content link. Content can be inserted into the LMS and embedded.
These statuses can be altered in different ways. In this guide, we will show you these four alternatives:
Sharing Widget
The best and most intuitive method to change the privacy settings of an H5P is by using the Sharing Widget. This can be seen on the top right corner of the H5P as the "Share button".
Here, in a few clicks, you can both publish and get the sharing link and embed code.
Authoring Tool
The authoring tool is the view when creating/editing an H5P. At the bottom of the authoring tool, there are settings that can be altered. Inside the Publish sub-category, you can choose and save the status of the content.
Content View
If you are the owner or collaborator of the content, it is also possible to edit the status while viewing it by clicking on the icon next to the title. The icon should be one of these: 🚫,🔒, or🌎.
Manage Content
On the manage content view, there are several ways to change the status of an H5P; It is possible to do it by clicking on the "Published" icon (N.1 on the image below), you can also click on the three dots (...) and then on "Publish"(N.2 on the image below), and the last option is by checking the content you want to make public and on the top right corner clicking on "Publish" (N.3 on the image below), using this method you can also publish more than on content in bulk.
