Conformance status
We publish accessibility conformance transparently through our Accessibility Conformance Report (ACR).
The latest report from April 2026 is available here - H5P Group Accessibility Conformance Report.
This report is based on the latest VPAT® 2.5 International Edition (INT) template published by the Information Technology Industry Council (ITIC) and evaluates conformance against:
WCAG 2.2 Levels A and AA
Revised Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act (2017)
EN 301 549 V3.2.1 (2021-03)
It also supports evaluation against evolving regulatory frameworks, including:
ADA Title II accessibility requirements (US)
European Accessibility Act (EAA)
The ACR provides a structured, point-in-time view of accessibility conformance across upgraded H5P learner-facing content types, identifying areas that fully support requirements and those with known limitations under remediation.
It is commonly used in procurement and institutional evaluations, but should be understood as a snapshot of conformance at the time of reporting and considered alongside H5P’s ongoing accessibility improvements.
Content-Type Accessibility Overview
For customers who need a content-type–specific perspective, a complementary view is available on H5P Content Types Recommendation.
This resource presents accessibility information organized by individual content types, providing a more practical, implementation-focused view alongside the standards-based structure of the ACR.

Limitations and alternatives
Despite our best efforts to ensure accessibility of https://h5p.com/, there are some known limitations as follows;
Third-Party Contributions
Certain content may be created or hosted by third parties. As we don't control these, we can’t guarantee they fully meet the accessibility standards.
Where possible, we disable or discourage the use of known inaccessible third-party content types by default. We also encourage their authors to improve accessibility over time.
Authoring Tool Accessibility
While our tools for creating H5P content are designed with accessibility in mind, some components may not yet fully support keyboard navigation or screen reader usage.
We continue to iterate and improve the authoring experience to make it more accessible and intuitive for all users, including authors using assistive technologies.
Assessment approach
Accessibility is evaluated through:
- Automated testing
- Manual testing (keyboard, focus, interaction)
- Screen reader and assistive tech testing
- User testing with people with disabilities
We are actively aligning with WCAG 2.2 AA, which is above the base requirement of WCAG 2.1 AA under ADA Title II New Accessibility Rule and the European Accessibility Act
